Timothy Dwight Ellis, 67, of Lenoir City, TN, passed away of a sudden illness on August 30, 2018, in Knoxville, TN, surrounded by friends and family. Tim was born on August 4, 1951, in Knoxville, TN, to Charles and Louise (Sanford) Ellis. A lifelong Vols fan, he received his Accounting degree from the University of Tennessee and enjoyed a fruitful career in banking, finance, and residential construction. Tim retired in 2015 to focus on his passions: golfing and traveling. Along with his beloved wife, Karen, Tim traveled the world and delighted in exploring new places and cultures. Tim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen Ellis; his cherished children, John and Alysun (Ellis) Bingham, and Frankie Ellis; his delightful granddaughters, Isabella and Emory Bingham; six siblings; nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Tim's humor, honesty, and loyalty are irreplaceable in the hearts of his countless loved ones. His celebration of life will take place at a later date.
